For its upcoming “Press Play on Summer” promotional campaign, Pepsi has partnered with Apple Music and artist Bad Bunny to offer customers exciting chances to win prizes including a free Apple Music subscription for three months, Beats headphones, and more.
This is not the first time Apple has partnered with Pepsi for the promotion of music streaming. In 2004 during Super Bowl 38, the two companies launched a campaign to win 100 million songs on iTunes by scanning QR codes under Pepsi bottles’ caps.
Learning from the hiccups of the previous year, the duo increased the number of giveaway songs and added iPod mini to the prizes in the 2005 campaign.
New and returning customers can win Apple Music subscriptions with Pepsi’s new campaign
Recently Apple Music replaced Pepsi as the sponsor of the NFL Super Bowl halftime show 2023 and apparently, that did not deter the new deal between Apple and Pepsi.
Featuring global superstar Bad Bunny, the new “Press Play on Summer” campaign offers a chance to win prizes with the purchase of select limited-edition 20 oz. PepsiCo beverages.
The “Press Play On Summer” QR code unlocks free unlimited listening on Apple Music for three months, and more than 100,000 instant prizes including weekly fly-away trips, Beats Headphones, Mastercard gift cards, and others. However, the promotion is only available for new or returning customers, not existing subscribers.
Bad Bunny was Apple Music Artist of the Year in 2022 for his artistic excellence and influence on global culture. He said:
