Pokémon X Beats Pill Launches October 15, priced at $149.99

Beats has announced the Pokémon x Beats Pill, a special-edition Beats Pill speaker with Pikachu and Mimikyu on the grill. It goes on sale Thursday, October 15, at $149.99, the same price as other Beats Pill variants.

Beats confirmed the collaboration with The Pokémon Company International on October 13, a day after a short teaser clip pointed to a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill. The speaker ships in the US, the UK and China only, and Apple’s website is the one retailer common to all three.

The Pokémon x Beats Pill Adds Artwork and Charms to a Standard Beats Pill

The artwork is the only visual change to the speaker itself. The body and grill are gray, with Pikachu and Mimikyu on the grill, so the rest of the speaker looks like the regular Beats Pill.

The speaker also comes with bespoke Pokémon charms in the form of a Poké Ball, the Beats “b” logo and Pikachu’s signature lightning bolts. Beats CMO Chris Thorne said the collaboration gives fans “a new way to express their love of Pokémon through sound.” It joins earlier Beats Pill tie-ups such as the Kiko Kostadinov edition.

Everything else carries over from the standard Beats Pill. That means up to 24 hours of battery life and IP67 dust and water resistance. Two Beats Pill speakers can pair wirelessly in Amplify Mode or Stereo Mode, and the USB-C port outputs lossless audio from a connected source and charges compatible phones.

The standard Beats Pill that this edition is built on supports one-touch pairing on both iPhone and Android, along with Find My or Find My Device. A 10-minute Fast Fuel charge gives it up to 2 hours of playback, and the speaker weighs 24 ounces with a removable lanyard. The body tilts upward 20 degrees to aim sound toward the listener, and a paired Beats Pill works as a speakerphone for calls and voice assistant access over Class 1 Bluetooth.

Sales Are Limited to the US, UK and China

Beats is restricting the Pokémon x Beats Pill to three countries, and sales begin on Thursday, October 15. Apple’s website sells it in all three, and each country adds one more retailer.

  • United States: Apple’s website and Target, online and in select stores
  • United Kingdom: Apple’s website and Argos, online and in select stores
  • China: Apple’s website and Douyin

Photos of a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill box reportedly surfaced at Target earlier this month, and Target is now confirmed as a US retailer. It has handled Beats Pill exclusives before. The Blush Pink Beats Pill arrived there in April 2025 at $149.99.
