Beats has teased a collaboration with Pokémon, and everything in the clip points to a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill speaker. The short video went up on X on October 12 with the caption “Time to catch something new.” Beats has not shared a name, price or release date yet.
In the video Beats posted on X, a Beats Pill with a barely visible color scheme gets hit by flashes of light. The spark effects on the speaker grille read as a hint that an electric-type character such as Pikachu will sit on the front. Cartoon flames, flashes and electric sparks play through the rest of the clip, which closes on the Beats and Pokémon logos.
Beats has a long list of collaborations already, including the JENNIE edition of the Beats Solo 4 and a Nike edition of the Powerbeats Pro 2. The Pill has had its own tie-ups too, such as the Kiko Kostadinov Beats Pill. Pokémon is a different kind of partner, since it comes from kids’ entertainment rather than music or fashion.
Photos of a Pikachu Beats Pill Box Reportedly Surfaced at Target
Earlier this month, Pokémon content creator BritBratTV shared two photos of an alleged Pikachu-themed Beats Pill box at Target in the US. Neither Beats nor Pokémon has confirmed the photos, but the teaser fits them well.
The leak and the teaser describe the same product, a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill. A Target release in the US looks plausible, and Target has stocked a Beats Pill color before, with Blush Pink priced at $149.99 in April 2025. Beats has not named a retailer or a date for this one.
The Beats Pill Underneath Stays a Rugged Speaker With 24 Hours of Battery
The standard Beats Pill is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance and runs up to 24 hours on a single charge. A 10-minute Fast Fuel charge gives up to 2 hours of playback. The USB-C port can charge a phone or carry high-resolution lossless audio from a laptop.
It works with both iPhone and Android, with one-touch pairing and support for Find My or Find My Device. Two Beats Pill speakers can be linked as well. Amplify Mode syncs them together, and Stereo Mode splits left and right audio between them.
Beats has not said whether the Pokémon edition changes any hardware. The standard Beats Pill sells for $149.99 in the US, and no price has been announced for the Pikachu version.
