Apple’s Get Ready tool is now live for the iPhone Duo, which means US buyers can build their entire order before pre-orders open on Friday, October 16. The phone goes on sale one week later on October 23, and supply is expected to be tight.
Get Ready lives on Apple’s iPhone Duo shop page. You pick your configuration now, then speed through checkout when pre-orders start at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, which is 8 a.m. Eastern Time. The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model.
Get Ready Lets You Lock In Every Checkout Choice Early
The setup covers the same decisions you would make at checkout. You choose a color and storage capacity, confirm your carrier status, add accessories and an AppleCare+ plan, select a trade-in, enter a payment method, and set your shipping and billing address. It works on Apple’s online store and in the Apple Store app, and once pre-orders open, the saved order is close to a one-tap purchase.
Every capacity comes in Night Sky and Star White. The unlocked prices step up as the storage grows.

Carrier choice changes what happens after delivery. You can connect to AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon during checkout, or pick the option to connect on your own later. The iPhone Duo has no physical SIM tray and activates with an eSIM only, so carrier-connected phones arrive ready to activate and setup needs Wi-Fi. Financing through a carrier locks the phone to that carrier until it is paid off.

Trade-In Credit Runs From $35 to $885 at Apple
Trading in an iPhone 8 Plus or newer takes $35 to $885 off a new iPhone Duo, depending on the model and its condition. The carriers advertise more, with AT&T offering up to $1,200 and T-Mobile up to $1,000. Those carrier figures are paid at least partly as monthly bill credits over the financing term and depend on eligible plans, so the headline number is not cash off the price on day one.
Our iPhone Duo trade-in value guide covers the numbers, so get your estimate before pre-order day.
Limited Supply Is the Reason to Finish Get Ready Early
Foxconn’s assembly yield for the iPhone Duo is reportedly in the 60 percent range, which keeps the first batch small. Buyers who finish Get Ready first can submit an order faster than people typing in addresses and card details while stock drops.
The shop page offers 32 configurations across four capacities, two colors and four carrier options.
