Skype 6.4 for Android gets Android Wear Support

Microsoft has updated Skype to version 4.6 for Android with Android Wear smartwatch support. The new update allows Android Wear owners to view their conversations, respond to chat messages via voice and accept or decline audio and video calls from the wrist.

Since Android Wear devices don’t have speakers, users cannot answer the calls on the smartwatch itself but accepting it initiates the call on the connected smartphone. Users can also decline calls, put them on hold or switched between multiple ongoing calls. Very handy if you are wearing headphones with your smartphone in your pocket or if you have a Bluetooth headset on.

It is also possible to respond to chat messages using Google’s awesome voice-to-text technology. If you are into it, you can also draw emojis to send to the chat recipient.

If you have an Android smartwatch, go ahead and update the your app from the Play Store or hit the link below to download and install it on your smartphone.
