Valve is bringing its Steam Link app to Apple Vision Pro, opening up a new way to play PC games on Appleās spatial headset. The upcoming visionOS app lets users stream games directly from a Mac or Windows PC to the headset over a local network, turning Vision Pro into a large, immersive gaming display.

The setup is simple. As long as your computer and Vision Pro are on the same WiFi network, Steam Link can wirelessly stream your game library into the headset. This effectively expands what you can play on Vision Pro without relying on native visionOS apps, which have so far been limited when it comes to gaming.
Valve has already made a beta version available through TestFlight, and early updates suggest this is more than a basic port. The latest build improves connection stability and network performance, while also enabling streaming in up to 4K resolution. There is also support for dynamically adjusting the curvature of the display in panoramic mode, which makes long gaming sessions feel more natural inside a virtual environment.
One limitation remains for now. Steam Link on Vision Pro supports only 2D game streaming, meaning it does not run VR titles natively. While some reports suggest broader compatibility with VR libraries through streaming setups, Valve has not confirmed native VR support in this version of the app.
Valve has said a dedicated version of Steam Link for visionOS is in development, but there is still no confirmed release date. Even so, the beta already shows how Vision Pro can extend beyond productivity and media into a more flexible gaming setup.
For users with a capable gaming PC and a strong network, this update significantly expands what Vision Pro can do. Instead of relying only on the existing app ecosystem, it now connects directly to one of the largest game libraries available through Steam.
