Apple has released visionOS 26.5 beta 2 alongside watchOS 26.5 beta 2 and tvOS 26.5 beta 2, continuing its latest round of developer updates across platforms. The new builds arrive two weeks after the first betas and are available through the Settings app on supported devices with a developer account.

These updates remain light on visible features, with Apple focusing primarily on system stability, performance improvements, and backend changes. Nothing major has surfaced for end users so far, which is typical for mid cycle updates on watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS.
The most notable changes are tied to StoreKit, particularly on visionOS and tvOS. Apple is introducing new subscription options that allow developers to offer monthly billing with a 12 month commitment. This gives more flexibility for long term pricing while maintaining a lower monthly entry point for users.
Developers can now access detailed pricing terms through new APIs, define billing plan types, and read entitlement metadata for subscriptions tied to these plans. SwiftUI also gains support for displaying these subscription models using built in styles, making it easier to present pricing clearly within apps.
Apple has also fixed a StoreKit testing issue that previously caused unit tests to fail due to incorrect configuration selection. This fix applies across platforms and improves reliability when testing in app purchases.
For watchOS 26.5 beta 2, there are no new features beyond this fix, and the update appears to focus entirely on stability and performance. The same applies to tvOS 26.5 beta 2 and visionOS 26.5 beta 2, where Apple continues refining the experience without introducing major changes.
Overall, these updates are consistent with Apple’s current approach. Rather than adding new features at this stage, the company is stabilizing its platforms while rolling out shared developer tools that will support future updates later in the year.
