Siri AI on Apple Watch holds real conversations instead of responding to single commands. It can access general world knowledge, draw on your personal data, and answer follow-up questions without you having to rephrase the entire request each time. On a device as small as a watch screen, conversational AI directly addresses a long-standing friction point: extracting useful information without multiple taps and rewording.
Using Siri AI on Apple Watch requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later paired with iOS 27. Standard iPhone owners cannot access this feature even if they own a compatible watch, creating a clear tier within Apple’s wearables ecosystem; the capability is limited to Apple Intelligence-capable devices only.

watchOS 27 introduces several interface and capability upgrades beyond Siri:

- Pinch gesture: Tap index finger and thumb together once to select a widget in the Smart Stack and see relevant information instantly, reducing reliance on the Digital Crown

System Requirements and Device Support
watchOS 27 requires iPhone 11 or later (or iPhone SE 2nd generation or later) running iOS 27. Compatible watches are Apple Watch SE 3, Series 9, Series 10, Series 11, and Apple Watch Ultra 2. The Ultra 3 remains absent from this list.
How to Install the Beta
Download watchOS 27 beta through the Watch app on your iPhone using a free developer account. Your Apple Watch must be plugged in, connected to Wi-Fi, and have at least 50 percent battery remaining. Installation takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on your watch model and network speed.
