Apple has released the second betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 to registered developers. The new builds, including iOS 27 beta 2 (24A5370h), focus primarily on bug fixes and performance refinements alongside smaller feature additions that prepare the operating systems for public testing in July.

Developers can download the updated betas through the Settings app by navigating to General and selecting Software Update. The two-week cadence between the first and second betas is typical for major iOS releases, giving Apple time to collect feedback and address critical issues before broader testing begins.
Both operating systems continue to refine Liquid Glass, Apple’s visual overhaul introduced at WWDC, alongside ongoing improvements to Siri AI and other system areas. We are downloading the new beta updates, and will cover the new changes and features as they are discovered.
Siri AI incorporates general knowledge, personal data from Messages and Mail, and onscreen awareness to function as a conversational assistant. The feature will roll out as a beta later this year for users with compatible devices set to English, with support expanding to additional languages soon after. Siri AI is available only on iPhone 15 Pro and newer, though iOS 27 itself is compatible with iPhone 11 and newer.
Regional restrictions remain in place as Siri AI will not be available initially in the EU, and China will see delayed availability while Apple navigates regulatory requirements. Users interested in trying Siri AI will need to join a waitlist when the beta becomes available.
Beta 2 signals iOS 27 is progressing toward public beta in July, allowing non-developers to test the operating system before the final version launches for all users this fall. Apple will release the first public beta in July, enabling broader community feedback on Siri AI capabilities and overall system stability.
For developers actively testing iOS 27, focus should shift toward edge-case testing, performance validation, and ensuring apps handle the new Siri AI features and refreshed UI correctly. The fall release window is substantial, leaving room for at least one or two additional beta cycles before the final version ships.
