AirPods Max cost $549 in the United States. Price may vary based on your location. They are currently available in 25 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Australia, Portugal, Singapore, Brazil, and more.
What AirPods Max colors can I buy?
You can the wireless headphones in the following colors: Space Grey, Silver, Green, Sky Blue, and Pink. Each color option is available in two shades, due to the use of different materials.
How do you charge AirPods Max?
The headphones feature a Lightning port and ship with a Lightning to USB-C cable. However, Apple does not include a charger which you would need to purchase separately or use the one that you got for your smartphone. You should be able to charge them using your Mac’s USB-C port too.
How do you replace AirPods Max battery?
AirPods Max battery can be replaced for $79 for non-AppleCare+ customers.
Can I get AppleCare+ for AirPods Max?
AppleCare+ costs $59 for AirPods Max. A service fee of $29 will be charged for each visit, including battery replacements. Two incidents of accidental damage protection is also included in the $59 cost.
Can I take calls with AirPods Max?
Yes, they feature three microphones that are used for voice calls.
Can I control volume with AirPods Max?
You can control volume using a Digital Crown, similar to the one on Apple Watch. It can be pressed to play or pause music, or answer calls. A dedicated noise control button allows you to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode.
Are the AirPods Max heavy?
Yes, if you have used an iPhone 12 Pro Max and felt that it is heavy, the AirPods Max are even heavier. They weigh 384.8 grams, compared to iPhone 12 Pro Max’ 228 grams weight.
How long does AirPods Max battery last?
As per Apple, the battery lasts for 20 hours on a single charge with Active Noise Cancellation and Spatial Audio enabled. A quick 5-minute charge gives 1.5 hours worth of listening time.

Which Apple devices support AirPods Max?
The wireless headphones are compatible with the following Apple devices, once they are upgraded to the latest version of macOS, iOS, tvOS, or macOS. At the time of writing, these latest updates are iOS 14.3, macOS Big Sur 11.1, watchOS 7.2, and tvOS 14.3
Can I buy replacement AirPods Max Ear Cushions?
Yes, pairs of replacement Ear Cushions can be purchased for $69 each. They attach magnetically to the headband, and you can mix and match colors to your desire.
What is the AirPods Max Smart Case?
The Smart Case puts the headphones in a low power mode to keep save battery life and keep them protected while traveling. The headphones have sensors that let them detect when they are in the case.
Can I purchase AirPods Max Smart Case separately if I lose it?
Apple should have it on sale, but not at the time of writing. We don’t know the price either for the case.
Can I use a 3.5mm audio cable to plugin AirPods Max to a headphone jack?
Yes, Apple sells a 3.5mm to Lightning cable which can be used to plugin the headphones to a headphone jack. Apple sells it for $35, however, you can find cheaper alternatives on Amazon.
Do AirPods Max work with Android and Windows?
Yes, they should work fine with Android smartphones and tablets, as well as Windows PCs, however, functionality might be limited. AirPods Max use Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity with non-Apple devices.
Do the AirPods Max feature U1 Ultra Wideband chip?
