Apple Music is livestreaming the Head Trip music festival for free, in partnership with promoter Goldenvoice. The dance and electronic festival takes place in Indio, California, on October 10 and 11, and anyone who does not want to pay for a ticket or travel to the desert can watch the main stage sets through Apple Music instead.
Apple Music announced the partnership on September 24. Head Trip’s lineup includes Calvin Harris, Fisher with Chris Lake, Peggy Gou with Four Tet, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, and Dom Dolla with Kettama.
In-Person Tickets Have Already Sold Out
Tickets to attend Head Trip in person started at $499 and sold out. Passes are still available starting at $589, so the free livestream is now the only no-cost way to see any of the sets.
Stephen Campbell, Apple Music’s Global Head of Dance, Electronic Music and DJ Mixes, said Head Trip brings together an extraordinary lineup of artists shaping dance and electronic music culture right now, and that teaming up with Goldenvoice gives Apple Music a chance to take the festival’s energy beyond Indio to fans around the world.
Head Trip Is a One-Time, Single-Stage Event
Goldenvoice built Head Trip as a “just this once” event, following the same one-off format it used for Power Trip in 2023 and Desert Trip in 2016 on the same Empire Polo Club grounds that host Coachella. The festival runs on a single stage with nine main-stage sets and no overlapping set times across the two days, so there is no scheduling conflict between acts.
Saturday’s bill closes with Calvin Harris and also includes Fisher and Chris Lake’s Under Construction set, plus a back-to-back set from Peggy Gou and Four Tet. Sunday closes with Swedish House Mafia and also features Skrillex and Dom Dolla with Kettama. Floating Points brings his Sunflower Sound System, a custom dome with mycelium panelling and its own acoustic setup, for its US debut running throughout both days. Doors open at 3pm on each day, and the event is 18 and older.
