Google teases Pixel 8, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Buds Pro

Google has released a new teaser video for its upcoming Made by Google event on October 4th, giving us our first real glimpse of the Pixel 8, Pixel Watch 2, and a new color for the Pixel Buds Pro.

The upcoming Pixel 8 is expected to be a mid-range phone, while the Pixel 8 Pro will be the high-end option in the lineup. Both phones are expected to have improved cameras, performance, and longer battery life.

Google shows off Pixel 8 Pro in Porcelain and Pixel 8 in Pink – Preorders open on October 4

The video, dubbed “The W8 is Almost Over,” landed on Google’s social channels today. Unlike the earlier Pixel 8 leaks, this is the real deal.

The video shows the Pixel 8 Pro in a new Porcelain color, which is also the color of the Pixel Fold. The Pixel 8 is also shown in a new pink color. The Pixel Watch 2 appears to be slightly thinner than the original Pixel Watch but otherwise has a similar design.

The teaser also confirms that preorders for the new Pixel devices will go live on October 4th. We don’t know exactly when the devices will ship, but last year’s Pixel 7 series shipped about a week after their announcement. So, the new Pixel devices may arrive around October 11.

Pixel teaser

This is just the latest in a series of leaks and teasers for the Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2. We’ve already seen renders of the devices, and we know that they will be powered by Google’s new Tensor chip.

The Pixel Watch 2 is expected to have a faster processor and more features than the original Pixel Watch. It’s also rumored to have a blood oxygen sensor. As for the Pixel Buds Pro – they do not scream “refresh,” more like an additional color option to match Google’s latest gadgets. Porcelain seems to be the star this year, following its debut on the Pixel Fold.

We’ll have to wait until October 4th to learn more about the new Pixel devices, but this teaser video certainly has the tech community buzzing.
