Here are the macOS Tahoe 26.1 release notes from Apple

Apple has published the official release notes for macOS Tahoe 26.1 just after the release candidate was released. These notes outline improvements such as Liquid Glass tint setting, Apple Music AutoMix over AirPlay, annd more, that will be part of the update’s public release in the coming days.

The update aligns with iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, watchOS 11.1, tvOS 18.1, and visionOS 26.1, offering feature consistency across Apple’s ecosystem. One of the most notable additions is the new Liquid Glass tint option, expanding on Apple’s modern interface aesthetic that blends depth, translucency, and subtle color gradients. Other changes include support for Apple Music AutoMix over AirPlay, improvements to FaceTime audio quality in low-bandwidth conditions, and changes to how communication safety and web content filters work by default for existing child accounts.

  • Liquid Glass setting gives you the option to choose between the default clear look or a new tinted look which increases opacity of the material in apps and notifications on the Lock Screen
  • Apple Music AutoMix support over AirPlay
  • Improved FaceTime audio quality in low-bandwidth conditions
  • Communication Safety and Web content filters to limit adult websites are enabled by default for existing child accounts for ages 13-17 (Age varies by country or region)

As expected, this release does not contain any major features.
