Apple promotes iPhone 13’s crack and splash resistance in 2 new ads

Apple touts various features of its devices in a series of creative ads posted on its official YouTube account. To promote the toughness of its 6.1-inch iPhone 13 model, the tech giant has released two new short but expressive ads: Shake and Edge which show that the smartphone can not only survive water but also hard falls.

Launched in 2021, iPhone 13 features the Ceramic Shield front, glass back, and aluminum design for durability. Its splash, water, and dust resistance are rated IP68 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes).

New iPhone 13 “Edge” ad promotes its tough display with Ceramic Shield protection

Enclosed within the flat aluminum edges is iPhone 13’s Ceramic Shield front which the company claims is tougher than any smartphone glass that offers greater durability and resistance against cracks from accidental falls and scratches during daily usage.

The new 30 seconds ad “Edge” ingeniously presents the smartphone’s tough glass. Placed on the edge of a kitchen table top, the vibrating iPhone 13 falls off the counter while the owner stands feet away in a dark and quiet living room.

New iPhone 13 “Shake” ad touts its spill and splash resistance

During daily usage, it is not usual for users to spill a glass of water or drop some coffee on their smartphones. But Apple reminds iPhone 13 users that their smartphone can not only resist spills but also splashes of water.

In the new ad “Shake”, a woman is seen relaxing on a lounger by the pool on a hot summer day with her dog. Suddenly, the dog decides to go for a dip and shake off the water while staring in the ways of its owner. Since the woman had an iPhone 13, she simply fended the splashes on the back of her phone.

And in both situations, Apple reminds the users to “Relax, it’s iPhone”.
