Peak Design charging accessories launch November 3 with a wireless battery, a 65W wall charger, woven cables and a two-device desktop station. The battery’s 25W wireless speed only applies while it is plugged into a wall outlet, and it drops to 15W when it runs from its own cell.
The line takes a company known for travel gear, camera accessories and MagSafe wallets into everyday charging, with prices running from $24.95 for a 1m cable to $99.95 for the Kickstand Travel Battery and the Wireless Charging Station 2-in-1.
The Kickstand Travel Battery Needs a 40W Adapter for Full Speed
Maximum pass-through charging on the Kickstand Travel Battery needs a 40W power adapter, and no adapter comes in the box. At least 20W is recommended for fast charging.
The 5,000mAh pack measures 4 by 2.7 by 0.4 inches and weighs 5.1 ounces, with a machined aluminum body and Clarino surfaces. Its kickstand holds a phone in either orientation, and the side USB-C port charges the pack, powers a second device or passes wall power through to the phone. Four LEDs show battery status, and manual battery control allows stand-only use when no charging is needed.
It is a MagSafe power bank that doubles as a stand, and its Qi2.3 charging works with MagSafe phones, AirPods and MagSafe-compatible cases, including Peak Design’s own. Peak Design calls it the world’s first Qi2.3-rated charger. The Kickstand Travel Battery comes in Black and Moon (cream), with a lifetime guarantee on the chassis and a two-year warranty on the cell.
Peak Design Charging Accessories Pair a 65W Charger With a Two-Pad Station
The Dual Slim Charger is a 65W GaN wall charger with two USB-C ports in a 0.5-inch-thick housing and fold-flat prongs. The ports can each run at 30W or split 45W and 20W, so a laptop and a second device charge together.
It supports USB Power Delivery with PPS and AVS and uses graphene thermal management to handle heat. The Dual Slim Charger weighs 2.9 ounces, costs $64.95 and comes in black with a scratch- and stain-resistant soft-touch coating.
The Wireless Charging Station 2-in-1 has two pads that use Qi2.2, a version of the Qi2 wireless charging standard. Each pad reaches up to 25W while the other is in use, so two phones charge at full speed when laid flat, or a phone and earbuds.
Maximum dual-device speed needs a 75W-plus cable and wall adapter, with 45W as the minimum. For very fast charging, a 60W-plus wall adapter such as the Dual Slim Charger is the suggested pairing. That puts the 65W Dual Slim Charger above the recommendation but below the 75W needed for maximum speed.
Both pads attach magnetically like other MagSafe wireless chargers and work with MagSafe phones, AirPods and compatible cases, including all Peak Design cases. An auxiliary USB-C port (5V/1.5A) can charge a third device such as a wearable.
Two precision-tuned hinges let the aluminum arm hold any viewing angle and fold the Wireless Charging Station 2-in-1 completely flat, to 6.3 by 2.7 by 0.6 inches. It weighs 9.7 ounces and uses a die-cast aluminum and zinc chassis, a nonslip TPU foot and a 1.5-meter fabric-wrapped USB-C cable. The price is $99.95 in Black and Moon, with a lifetime guarantee.
UltraStrand Cables Come in 60W and 240W Versions
The Everyday UltraStrand Cable is rated for up to 60W and 480Mbps over USB 2.0, enough for phones, tablets, cameras and laptops, and comes in 15cm, 1m and 2m lengths. It costs $29.95 for a pair of 15cm cables, $24.95 for 1m and $29.95 for 2m.
The Pro UltraStrand Cable adds 240W USB-C power delivery and 40Gbps data speeds, with USB4, Thunderbolt 3 and 4 and DisplayPort Alt Mode support for displays up to 8K at 60Hz. It comes in 15cm at $29.95 and 1m at $39.95 and uses graphene wire shielding and low-profile aluminum connectors.
Both versions use a woven jacket with custom high-flex copper wire, integrated strain relief and a removable polycarbonate clip. A lifetime guarantee protects against fraying or breaking.
