MacBook Pro, iMac and iPad mini pre-orders on Amazon are open, and none of the new models carries a discount yet. The older M5 MacBook Pro is the exception, with price cuts that start at $160.
The new MacBook Pro with the PROLED XDR display is also on Amazon at Apple’s prices, with the 14-inch model with M5 Pro at $2,899 and the 16-inch model at $3,399. Apple opened pre-orders on October 28 and gives Friday, November 6 as the first delivery date for all three products.
M6 MacBook Pro pre-orders on Amazon start at $1,999
The 14-inch model with 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage costs $1,999, the same as Apple’s starting price, and the 24GB and 32GB versions cost $2,199 and $2,399. The extra memory also raises bandwidth, from 153GB/s on the 16GB model to 170GB/s on the 24GB and 32GB models.
The discounts are on older models, starting with the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5, which costs $1,839 with 16GB and 1TB, down from $1,999. That is $160 less than the M6 with the same memory and storage. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max, 36GB and 2TB costs $3,499, down from $4,099.
The 14-inch PROLED model adds $610 over M5 Pro
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the PROLED XDR display, M5 Pro, 24GB and 1TB costs $2,899. The same configuration without PROLED costs $2,289, down from $2,499.

The PROLED XDR model also peaks at 2000 nits against 1600 nits on the Liquid Retina XDR display. On the 16-inch size, Apple’s MacBook Pro without PROLED starts at $2,999 against $3,399 with it, a $400 gap.
