Whitoken theme for iPod Touch by 6MIK has been released as a beta. As expected I installed it ASAP, and it looks just amazing! Apart from the icons issue, which will, hopefully, all be converted to the whitoken design, it works and looks just as shown above! I decided to create a guide for the lengthy and hardworking process required to get this theme working. It’s all worth it, trust me.
1. You’ll need a jailbroken iPod Touch with OS 3.0 installed. I’ll create a guide for that soon, but for now, you’ll have to Bing it.
2. Go to Cydia and add these repos to your sources:
http://cydia.touch-mania.com/
http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/
http://apt.bigboss.us.com/repofiles/cydia/
http://apt.modmyi.com/
3. Install these apps from Cydia:
Winterboard
iBlank
Blanknull
Categories
Five Column Springboard
Fiveirows
SpringJumps
Using WinSCP, connect to your iPod via SSH. Navigate to /private/var/stash/Applications and copy all the folders starting with _shortcut from the download file to that location. Then, navigate to /private/var/stash/Themes and copy the whitoken by 6mik.theme folder to that location.
4. Go to the Categories app that you just installed and create these folders:
Home, Media, Apps and Games. Create them with these exact names.
5. Now you’ll have to add all your apps, games and media apps to these folders. Just make sure you leave out 4 apps in each category i.e. add all but 4 apps to each category because you’ll need those 4 apps on each page. Move these apps to your dock Todo or Things to the left, Clock in the center and App Store on the right. I use Notify Me as shown below.
6. Now you’ll have to work with the apps you download in Cydia.
FiveColumn
You’ll have to activate it if you don’t already see 5 columns in your springboard pages.
FiveIrows
Activate it, but hide Hidespringdots
Springjumps
Go to General and deactivate “page titles” and “jump dock”
Go to Jump icons and activate Page 0, 1, 2 ,3 but deactivate all others.
Respring your Springboard.
7. Now you’ll have to rearrange your icons, Spring jump icons, and blank icons in such a way that they resemble the images below (images are from the readme file) :
8. Now, navigate to all the category folders you created one by one, and follow these steps: Tap on the ‘i’ on the bottom right to go to options and change Use background.png to on and icon font color to white
9. Now, the final step. Go to Winterboard and turn on the Whitoken theme. Also, make sure No Undocked Icon Labels and No Docked Icon Labels are checked. The final result should look like this:
Enjoy! If you have any issues or questions, leave them in the comments below!
WinSCP can be downloaded here or if you’re using OS X you will need to use Cyberduck. Thanks to RedmondPie for the links to these apps.

How do you get SpringJumps to be on multiple pages? I only get one set of SpringJumps. Are those all just examples?
When you activate Spring Jumps for pages 0,1,2,3 they’ll show up on those pages. But you can move a set of each to each page ie the first 4 pages.
Oh! Thanks. I got it to work now. But what if I have more applications than the four pages can hold? Are there a certain number of applications I can have?
I don’t think there’s any restriction to the number of apps you can have. More apps open when you click View All. I had my 9 pages of apps fully distributed in those 4 categories just fine .
How do you get the Page 0, Page 1, etc… icons on each page if you only have one of each icon?
Since Springs Jumps are activated for pages 0,1,2,3 you’ll get 4 sets of each icon. You might have to navigate to other pages to find them. Re arrange them on the first 4 pages so you have a set on each page.
Well I followed everything in the writeup, but I still only have 1 set of each. Any idea why that would happen?
Thanks for the help.
I think you missed activating Spring Jumps for pages 0,1,2,3 or sometime it happens that the Spring Jumps are created at the end pages. Let me know if either of these fix your problem.
Well I turned off spring jumps for pages 4 through 8, and checked all my pages, but still only see have one set.
Did you respring the Springboard after the change?
Yes, it restarts automatically after exiting the app. but reset it once more for good measure, and they still don’t appear there.
Try restarting your iPod. Or the full process. I’m not sure what could be the problem as I’ve told you the possible fixes as well. Reinstalling Spring Jumps might help.
Restarted it and reinstalled it. No dice. Oh well, i’ll just have to resort to good old scrolling on three pages. lol. Thanks for the help!
Can you claify “Navigate to /private/var/stash/Applications and copy all the folders starting with _shortcut from the download file to that location. Then, navigate to /private/var/stash/Themes and copy the whitoken by 6mik.theme folder to that location.” What location??
I think the problem everyone’s having with the SpringJumps 0-3 has to do with confusion regarding the steps I quoted above. I’m guessing we want to make duplicates of these??
Yes, the problem might be arising because people might not be copying the _shortcut folders to “/private/var/stash/Applications”
The second location. ” /private/var/stash/Themes”
I figured it out. My problem was that I started with the file “iPhone_Whitoken_by_6MIK_an_dazcoates.theme”. I had not yet gotten the “whitoken_ipod_touch_3_0_theme_by_6mik_design” file which contains all those duplicate springjump folders that need to be copied. It only took a few hours!
everyone who is having problems with the springjumps, make sure you ssh in and copy all of the _spring files, that is where the extra icons come from
I have a problem. I only seem to get 3 sets of Springjump things. So I can do Home Media Apps but not Games. Does anyone know how to solve this?
Did you activate SpringJumps 0,1,2,3 ? Also make sure you copied the _spring folders to ” /private/var/stash/Applications ” via ssh.
Where would I find the _spring files ? and I have activated the SpringJumps 0,1,2,3
Did you download the theme package? When you extract its contents there would be lots of folders starting with _spring. Copy them to ” /private/var/stash/Applications ” in your iPod Touch via ssh using WinSCP if you’re on Windows.
Im on a Mac using cyberduck. and Pathfinder opens the .rar theme package file and I get lots of _shortcut files if this is what you mean? and I have copied these _shortcut files to /stash/applications and /stash/themes
To reiterate I have the Home page sorted, the apps page sorted, the media page sorted but the games page does not have any SpringJump (0,1,2,3)’s left.
Can you try recopying the _shortcut files again? You only need to copy them to /stash/applications. Also try repsring or rebooting after that. Sometimes the SpringJumps end up on the end pages, so also check there. Let me know if this helps
Well I just restarted without doing the first part because I’m scared that it will change what I have at the moment or is that inevitable? Well, I was just wondering could you tell me what it should say on the list because mine says ”
_shortcut0_0.app (and so on with the last 0 to 1 2 3)
_shortcut1_0.app ( ” ” )
_shortcut2_0.app ( ” ” )
Those are the correct file names.
I think thats the problem because you are meant to have 4 pages but there are only enough shortcuts for 3 pages. Am I missing something?
I had enough for 4 pages when I tried. Can u delete them ? reactivate the SpingJumps 0,1,2,3 and then copy them via ssh again?
Deleted it and put them back on and still only 3 of each
hmm it’s hard to understand what else could be the issue. installation had gone really smooth for me. Remove springjumps and all that u installed n start from scratch. But this time activate spring jumps 0,1,2,3 first after installing its app and then copy the _shortcut folders. Hope it works for you
Thanks. I’ve been looking at other forums and I’ve seen someone with the same problem and he says he found solution so I’m gonna try to find out from him. Thanks anyway though
Will this work on an iPhone
I can't get the normal iPod dock to dissappear. The theme's dock doesn't show up.
You'll have to move your icons around to the dock to make it looks like the theme's dock.
When I download the Winterboard Whitoken theme, I don't get a .zip file with extractable files. I get what looks like a readme file that has no known application to open it with. What is going on?
When I download the whitoken theme. I don't get an executeable file, I only get a 6.6mb file that has no know application to open it with. What is going on here?
I get 3 out of 4 pages worth of springboard icons. No one provides a solution to this. How can this be fixed?
