Shareshot Adds iPhone Duo Support and Outer Screen Frames

Shareshot now supports the iPhone Duo, with an updated interface for the foldable and new frames for its outer screen in landscape. The screenshot framing app picked up the update as the iPhone Duo reaches customers today, October 23.

The update is live on the App Store. It reworks the interface for iPhone Duo use and adds landscape frames for the outer screen, and the iPhone Duo device frames are free like the rest of the Apple lineup.

Shareshot adds an iPhone Duo interface and outer screen landscape frames

Shareshot picks a device frame from the pixel dimensions of the screenshot, so the frame always fits without stretching or cropping. If more than one device shares the same resolution, the app chooses based on the device you are using, and you can switch to another frame by hand.

Framed screenshots can sit on a gradient, stripe pattern, solid color or custom image background, with a light position control for shadows and lighting. If you used the Apple Frames shortcut before, the idea is the same, but the app adds a Share menu option, automatic detection of new screenshots and a Control Center button that frames your last screenshot.

Shareshot joins a growing list of apps that now support Apple’s foldable, including Delta and Gentler Streak.

Mockup Blueprints build iPhone Duo templates without a screenshot

A separate feature called Mockup Blueprints exports a template image for any frame in the app. You can use it to build wallpapers or promo art that fits a frame without starting from a screenshot.

Blueprints works with iPhone Duo frames and custom frames, as the developer announced on Bluesky. Custom frames are built from any image with a transparent hole in the middle, and Shareshot fits content to that area.

Version 2.0 added privacy redactions, batch mode and Magic Import

Shareshot 2.0 launched on September 1 with three additions beyond framing, plus a native Mac app that replaces the old Mac Catalyst version.

Privacy redactions use Apple’s on-device Vision framework to find names, dates, faces, QR codes and financial details, and they can be toggled with a tap. Financial information is always redacted by default, and redactions are never applied automatically through Shortcuts, because the developer does not trust automated detection without a human check.

Magic Import turns pasted text, Markdown, source code and links into shareable images. It handles social posts from X, Bluesky and Mastodon, plus links to Apple Music, Apple Maps, App Store apps, podcasts and YouTube. Batch mode lets you process hundreds of images in one session and apply the same style to all of them.

Basic framing is free and Pro costs $14.99 a year

Single screenshot framing is free with no watermark since version 2.0, and the standard Apple device frames stay free. Pro removes the limits on batch mode, which is capped at three items with a watermark on the free plan, and on batch actions in Shortcuts. It also adds custom frames, custom background images and an alternate app icon.

Shareshot is a free download for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision from Montana Floss Co., a two-person studio in Stroud, UK. It requires iOS 18.0 or later on iPhone and macOS 26.0 or later on Mac. Pro costs $1.99 a month or $14.99 a year, and includes Family Sharing.
