Quake 3 is one of the most popular first person shooters in the world. It kind of revolutionized FPS games. And now it has made its way to jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch via Cydia. Obviously, this game can’t be played as well on iDevices as on a PC, but never the less, it’s available, and that counts for something.
The game is available for free in Cydia. Just fire up Cydia and type in Quake in the search field. When you see the result, select it and install it.

It weighs in at 45Mb so downloading and installing takes some time. Check out a video of the game in action below:
Keep in mind that the game is a direct port of the PC version. You have to use a mouse in the menus and the whole UI isn’t really touch optimized. But as I said before, it’s free and fun so definitely worth a try for all.
