From 23-29 August, Apple Pay purchases will be donated to the US National Park Foundation

Apple announced a new welfare campaign with the U.S. National Park Foundation. The tech giant has vowed to make an unspecified donation to the nonprofit organization for all Apple Pay purchases made via the App Store, official website, or Apple Store.

The promotion will be active from August 23 to 29. According to a notice, Apple says that it is “celebrating our national parks”, with the U.S. National Park Service celebrating its 105th anniversary in 2021.

Other than naming conference offices after the U.S. national parks, Apple has been using national parks in California as the name of its macOS operating systems, Yosemite and Monterey.

In addition to this, the company will also launch an Apple Watch Activity Challenge to celebrate national parks in the country. On August 28, Apple Watch users can earn the achievement by completing a walk, hike, run, or wheelchair workout for at least one mile.
