Apple launches special Year of the Tiger AirPods Pro to celebrate Chinese New Year

Apple has released special Year of the Tiger AirPods Pro to celebrate Chinese New Year. These new AirPods Pro are available in Apple Stores, both online and retail, in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Macao and other Asian countries.

Simply titled “AirPods Pro – Tiger” on Apple’s website, the new headphones feature a unique tiger emoji that is laser etched onto the charging case. Apple already provides an option to customize AirPods Pro cases with custom text or emojis, however, this emoji is not part of the customization options.

Apart from the tiger emoji on the charging case, the box features a red tiger emoji. Customers who purchase the special AirPods Pro at a retail store also get 12 red envelopes, which are traditionally used for gifting money to friends and family during Chinese New Year.

Apart from the Chinese New year personalization, these AirPods Pro cost the same as regular ones, and have the same features too.

Alongside decorating its stores for the occasion in Asian countries, Apple is also holding in-store and virtual Today at Apple “Share Your Love” sessions in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore to create personalized New Year cards.

Then add your own heartfelt messages, plus artist-made stickers, festive backgrounds and more using Keynote for iPad or Mac.

Apple also launched limited-edition Beats Studio Buds last week to celebrate Lunar New Year. The special edition Beats Studio Buds have an all-red color theme with golden stripes on the buds and charging case, to represent good luck.

A limited-edition AirTag to celebrate the Year of the Tiger in Japan has also been launched. The AirTag features a custom tiger emoji that looks different than the one on the special AirPods Pro.
