Apple has announced a second event for October. It is called “Pro and tell” and takes place Wednesday, October 28 at 10 a.m. PT in Los Angeles, which is 1 p.m. ET.
Apple executive Greg Joswiak posted the invite artwork on X and wrote that he can’t wait to “pro and tell next week.” Apple also sent the invite to members of the press. The tagline plays on “show and tell.”

Apple Is Expected to Debut a Touchscreen MacBook Pro With an OLED Display
According to reports, Apple is preparing new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touchscreen OLED displays. They are said to get a Dynamic Island for the first time and to be significantly lighter than the current models.
It would be Apple’s first MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, and the Dynamic Island would take the place of the notch. The new models are expected to run the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Apple has not confirmed any of this hardware yet.
The touchscreen MacBook Pro reportedly goes on sale November 6, roughly nine days after the event.
The OLED iPad mini and Two M6 Macs Are Also on the Docket
Apple is also expected to show an iPad mini and two Macs with the M6 chip.
- The iPad mini is said to be getting an OLED screen, a revamped speaker system and a relocated FaceTime camera.
- The iMac moves to the M6 chip while keeping its current design.
- The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro also gets the M6 chip with no visible design change.
The relocated FaceTime camera on the iPad mini is reportedly meant for landscape use, and an earlier leak pointed to the A20 Pro chip. Pricing is the open question, and an earlier report has the OLED model costing well above $599.
The two M6 Macs are chip updates, so the design story at this event belongs to the touchscreen MacBook Pro. Anyone shopping for an iMac or a 14-inch MacBook Pro now has a firm date to wait for.
The Event Starts at 1 p.m. ET in Los Angeles
The event starts at 10 a.m. PT, which is 1 p.m. ET and noon CT. Apple is holding it in Los Angeles.
Apple has also reportedly invited some members of the press to an all-day launch experience there, so hands-on impressions are likely to arrive the same day.
The October 28 event comes 15 days after the Welcome Home event on October 13.
