Apple releases Apple TV Update with iCloud and Vimeo Support

Apple has just released iOS 4.3.3 for the Apple TV 2 today. The release brings Vimeo support and the ability to buy television shows directly on your Apple TV and then access those shows anywhere using your iTunes account and iCloud.

This means that the Apple TV will now let you buy a TV show and let you stream any television show you have bought on any other device, using your iTunes Account information. Most of us are probably saying, better late then never, but we can’t hide the fact that this should have been a feature long ago.

iCloud has also gotten a backend feature upgrade allowing you to re-download apps, books and music in your desktop iTunes.

With this new TV Show feature, we can only hope that movies will be the same way, allowing you the same functionality of buying and streaming bought movies to your Apple TV.

Go to your Apple TV now and get the update. Alternatively, you can download it from Apple here.
