A new report by Self Financial revealed that Apple TV+ has the highest-rated content for the second year in a row. Based on IMBD scores with U.S. customer data, Apple TV+ content has the highest rating of the leading video streaming services in the U.S.: HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Paramount+.
Apple TV+ launched in November 2019 as an all-originals video streaming service. Although that business strategy saw slower subscription growth in comparison to Disney+ and Netflix, it is paying off in the long run.
In just 2.5 years, the streamer has premiered original movies, series, talk shows, and more, featuring Hollywood’s big wigs like Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Samuel Jackson, Chris Evan, Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Aniston, Resse Witherspoon, and others. And Apple TV+ original content is high-quality content.
Apple TV+ content has had the highest average IMBD score for two straight years
As per the report, Apple TV+ had a 7.24 average IMBD rating in 2021 and for this year so far, it has a 7.08 average IMBD rating. The streamer’s content has the highest rating in spite of having the smallest library in comparison to its rivals.
The study also analyzed the impact of audience ratings per genre and Apple TV+ won in the following categories:
- Talk show
Apple TV+ is available across Apple devices, on the web, and on select third-party TV sets, and consoles for $4.99 per month.
However, Netflix was the top streaming service that offers the best value for money because of its “unmatched” library and HBO Max came in the second spot. Both services are available for $9.99 per month.
