Next segment of Apple Music Live to feature Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige

Apple Music started live streaming concerts in May as part of a new series: Apple Music Live. So far, the series has featured performances by Harry Styles and Lil Durk. The next segment is set to feature Mary J. Blige but the stream will be pre-taped, not live.

Apple Music Live episode featuring Mary J. Blige will air on July 27

Mary J. Blige is set to host a concert celebrating her life and music on July 13 in New York’s United Palace. The concert will be streaming exclusively on Apple Music in over 165 countries. The stream is set to air on July 27 at 10 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. PDT.

For one night only, Mary J. Blige is live in New York for an appreciation of her life in song. Come experience Mary with a night of music and storytelling at a live taping on July 13, then watch the show exclusively on Apple Music on July 27.

“The last year of my career in particular has been an exciting ride,” said Blige in a statement to Billboard. “It feels amazing to take this opportunity to celebrate, reflect and have an intimate night with my fans through this platform Apple Music is providing me.”

The performance also coincides with the 30th anniversary of Blige’s debut album, What’s the 411? To celebrate the landmark, Apple Music Hits will highlight Blige’s iconic music, interviews, and more on July 27.

Fans who reside in New York have a chance to attend Blige’s Apple Music Live concert for free. Tickets will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis. In addition to this, interested individuals must be 16 years or older. One 1 registration is permitted per person and successful applicants will receive a ticket for themselves and 1 guest.

Fans who cannot attend the concert can tune in to the performance’s stream on Apple Music on July 27. To watch Blige’s Apple Music Live concert, customers can subscribe to Apple Music for $9.99 per month as an individual or for $14.99 as a family.
