Apple has added a new activity challenge to Apple Watch Activity app, in support of Veterans Day. The tech giant is also offering year-round discounts, plus a four-month free trial of Apple Music for veterans US military, National Guard, and Reserve who subscribe during November.
In addition to this, Apple has also recently added new color options for the Apple Watch Solo Loop and Sport Bands in Kumquat, Northern Blue, and Plum.
Apple introduces new Veterans Day activity challenge and watch bands
Today, the tech giant released a statement about Veterans Day:
“Today and throughout the year, Apple recognizes the immense sacrifices of veterans and their families. In honor of Veterans Day, Apple is proud to spotlight veterans’ stories, legacies, and communities — and to honor and support those who serve.”
Customers in the United States with an Apple Watch can earn a special limited edition Activity award and animated stickers in honor of Veterans Day. To participate, users need to record any workout of 11 minutes or more.
Along with its Apple Music offer, and Apple Watch challenge, Apple says that is working to support veterans organizations through donations to non-profits.
“Team Rubicon mobilizes veterans to continue their service to their country and community, leveraging their skills and experience to help people prepare, respond, and recover from disasters and humanitarian crises, including COVID-19,” says Apple. “With a donation to Team Rubicon, Apple is helping mobilize the organization’s Greyshirt volunteers who are engaged in hurricane recovery efforts in the Gulf Coast.”
