The Beats 360 headphones are now sitting on shelves at Apple Stores worldwide, alongside stock at Best Buy and Target. Beats announced the headphones earlier in the week after months of teasers, and they went up for pre-order at Amazon before this in-store rollout.
Our Beats 360 vs Beats Studio Pro comparison covers how the new pair stacks up against Beats’ existing over-ear headphones.
The Cushions Are Swappable and Sold Separately
The Beats 360 ship with Performance Knit cushions, a breathable memory foam option built for working out. The softer, more pillowy UltraPlush cushions are sold separately, and both cushion types are swappable, so the same pair of headphones can switch looks and feel.
- Headphone colors: Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky
- Performance Knit cushion colors: Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt
- UltraPlush cushion colors: Black and Cloud
Beats 360 cost $349.99, and Apple is running a limited-time offer on add-on ear cushions at $9.99 through October 31, down from the usual price.
The Design Borrows From AirPods Max, With More Noise Cancellation
Beats built the 360 with a design similar to the AirPods Max, and it offers up to 1.75 times more noise cancellation than the Beats Studio Pro, along with improved sound quality. The headphones support Personalized Spatial Audio, Transparency mode and Adaptive EQ, plus fast pairing and automatic device switching across a listener’s Apple devices.
Beats 360 also carries an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating, which the Studio Pro does not have. That rating, combined with the breathable Performance Knit cushions included in the box, points the 360 at buyers who want a pair they can work out in without switching to earbuds.
