Game of Thrones has a Special New Filter on Snapchat. Here’s how to get it

The seventh season of Game of Thrones, one of the most popular shows of all times, will begin this month. Catering to worldwide fans, HBO has released a special limited time filter for the show. You can become a ‘White Walker’ (the un-dead villain of the North) for sixty minutes by applying the Game of Thrones filter. Game of Thrones Snapchat FilterTo get the filter, scan the code below using the Snapchat app on your smartphone. Open Snapchat, point it to the Snapcode below and either take a picture of it or long press on the display to get access to the filter. The app will detect a new lens and ask whether you want to unlock for an hour or dismiss.  If you wish you transform yourself into a pale stone creature with deep blue eyes, unlock the lens and enjoy the filter’s different effects for the front and back cameras. The filter comes with the iconic Game of Thrones theme song and the chill of the cold winter winds of the North. For the front camera, the filter starts with the theme song and bright sun rays which shine upon your face. As you open your mouth, you turn into the cold and dangerous threat from the North, a White Walker, with the wailing sounds of winter winds. When using the rear camera, the whole surrounding turns grey with strong winds blowing snow. As you move the camera around, you will spot two White Walkers. Tap to throw daggers at the White Walkers to get rid of them.

Game of Thrones season 7 will start this Sunday on HBO, and this filter is a very clever way to promote its release and get fans excited. Lets hope that HBO will release filters of other famous characters from the show like Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister or Daenerys Targaryen in the near future.
