Apple’s iPhone SE 4 and Powerbeats Pro 2 could launch next week

Apple is set to launch the iPhone SE 4, and reports suggest the announcement could happen as soon as next week. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will likely introduce the new iPhone SE via a press release rather than a full-fledged event. This aligns with the tech giant’s recent strategy of unveiling lower-profile products through website updates and short videos rather than major keynotes.

iPhone SE 4

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to bring significant upgrades over its predecessor. Most notably, Apple will retire the long-standing Home Button design, replacing it with an edge-to-edge OLED display with Face ID. Additional rumored enhancements include a 48MP camera, USB-C charging, an A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, and Apple’s in-house 5G modem. These features, many of which debuted in the iPhone 16 lineup, make the SE 4 an attractive option for users looking for an affordable yet modern iPhone. However, pricing is expected to increase, with estimates placing the starting cost at around $499, up from the current model’s $429.

In addition to the iPhone SE 4, Apple is rumored to introduce the Powerbeats Pro 2. The wireless earbuds, expected to launch as early as February 11, are anticipated to feature a slimmer design and come in new color options such as purple, orange, and light brown. A key highlight is the inclusion of a heart-rate sensor, a feature long speculated for the AirPods Pro lineup but now making its debut in the Beats brand.

Further fueling speculation of multiple product launches, reports indicate that inventory of the iPad Air and MacBook Air has been dwindling in Apple Stores. This is often a strong signal that refreshed models are imminent. Apple is rumored to be preparing new iPad Air models and a MacBook Air equipped with the M4 chip. While an exact release date remains unclear, industry analysts believe these devices could debut in the first half of 2025, potentially alongside the iPhone SE 4.

Apple has used staggered product launches in the past, including its October 2023 M4 Mac introductions, where the company unveiled new devices over several days. If reports hold true, Apple may adopt a similar approach, spreading out new product releases over the coming weeks.
