iPhone Ultra Leak Shows Asymmetric Screen Design

New screen protector leaks are offering another look at Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone Ultra, including its unusual corner design and the placement of its front-facing camera.

Leaker Ice Universe shared images and a hands-on video showing the accessories, which appear to match several details that have surfaced in previous iPhone Ultra reports.

The leaked protectors have square corners on the side facing the hinge and rounded corners on the opposite side. That asymmetric shape fits with previous reports that Apple’s foldable iPhone will use a side-mounted hinge.

However, the asymmetry may be limited to the accessory itself. Ice Universe says the protector is designed to cover the full glass panel rather than precisely follow the display area. The actual screen is still expected to have symmetrical rounded corners and consistent bezels.

The accessories also appear to reinforce rumors that the iPhone Ultra will use a shorter and wider design than Apple’s current iPhone models.

Another notable detail is the single punch-hole camera cutout on the outer display. Rather than sitting in the center, the opening is positioned toward the right side of the screen.

That placement is particularly interesting because earlier rumors had suggested the camera could be centered. If the leaked accessory is accurate, Apple may instead place the front camera off-center on the outer display.

The rumored iPhone Ultra is also expected to use Touch ID instead of Face ID. That would eliminate the need for the larger TrueDepth camera system used by Face ID and could give Apple more flexibility with the display design.

The latest leak follows recent images of protective covers for the foldable’s rear camera module, which have also appeared online. Other reported specifications include a 5.5-inch outer display, 7.8-inch inner display, A20 Pro chip, 5,000mAh battery and dual 48-megapixel rear cameras.

Apple has not confirmed the iPhone Ultra or any of these specifications. The foldable iPhone is rumored to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September, with a price reportedly starting at around $2,000.
