  1. Ditto with me, ive probably restored 20 times now. I guess I'll just sit tight and wait for more responses, or for my pc guru to figure out how to do this for me. BlackRa1n runs, the logo pops up on the ipod (2gen 8gb, 3.1.1 ootb with 3.1.2 upgraded), then the program on the PC says “done, waiting for reboot” and it NEVER REBOOTS. If anyone does come up with a good answer please email me at g0dless420@yahoo.com thanks XD

  2. I've been waiting for mine to reboot… it's been about 5 minutes and nothing. I've tried 3 times… maybe 4 is a charm?

  3. WOW! im on the iphone 3gs 3.1.2 and i clicked make it rain and the next thing i know my phone was jailbroken. amazing. I LUV U

  4. Step Three : Hit the large make it rain button, and wait for your device to entering in Recovery mode. The conventional recovery mode screen is replaced by GeoHotz photo like the screenshot below.

The Recovery screen has not changed.

  5. some one please email me what to do, ive read so many sights today that i cant remember where i've been… the blackra1n app appears to run fine, and it gives the message “done, waiting for reboot” …but thats it. after that point it doesnt reboot even if i try to use dfu mode (sleep/home for 10 secs). I have an 8gb 2nd gen 3.1.1 out of the box and updated to 3.1.2… any info may get missed if posted here so please email me a respones at g0dless420@yahoo.com… g0d bless Geo!!

  6. I just ran blackra1n on my iPhone 3Gs 3.1.2 and all worked fine. I actually did it twice… I then tried with my iPod 3G 3.1.2, and no luck. After geo's face shows up for a good minute, and then the loading icon shows on the bottom of the icon, the screen goes blank, and nothing else happens. I left it there for 15 minutes, and it won't even turn back on. When I load up iTunes it says it needs to be restored. iTunes pops up during the JB process, but it did it with the iPhone, so I think it's irrelevant as long as iTunes is closed when you start the process.

I think it is safe to say, unless someone specifically posts that they got it working with their iPod 3G 3.1.2, that it in fact does not work.

    Note:
I've tried the process several times fo rthe iPod with no prevail. I performed the process on the iPhone twice, successfully each time. 3.1.1 and 3.1.2

    1. which problem do you have? if you bought it recently it should be running 3.1.2 software. just download blackra1n then run it. the icon, which is a black rain drop, should appear on your i touch. click it, then download cydia, then you can download all the apps and junk.

  7. Well had a working jailbroken 3.01 now have a unjailbrakable version 3.12, thanks to this non working app
