Powered by A15 Bionic chip, the new camera system of iPhone 13 Pro models features improved Wide, Ultra-wide, and telephoto lens which enabled the company to offer Macro photography features. But, the new Macro app by Camera+ removes the hardware required to enjoy the new feature.
Users can capture sharp, stunning images where objects appear larger than life, magnifying subjects with a minimum focus distance of 2 centimeters. Macro also extends to video including Slo-mo and Time-lapse. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also boast a new 77 mm Telephoto camera, allowing users to get closer to their subjects while recording video and achieve even more classically framed portraits, offering 3x optical zoom for a total 6x optical zoom range on the camera system.

The new app automatically and intelligently selects the best lens for the shot for users to take creative and beautiful close-up images with “crystal clear focus”. All the photos are saved directly in the user’s Photos Library. It also features the following on-screen tools to help users frame and plan their shots:
- Focus peaking outlines what parts of your photo are in focus.
- The grid helps you position your subject on the screen.
- Histogram lets you visualize the relative brightness of your shot.
