NBA 2K27 Arcade Edition is now available on Apple Arcade, as per the latest update from 2K. The game launched on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV on November 5, and it adds all 15 WNBA teams for the first time.
You can play the WNBA teams in Quick Match and Blacktop, while MyCAREER and The Association still use NBA teams. 2K also built faster MyCAREER progression into this year’s version, and your MyPLAYER now starts as an 80 OVR rookie.
NBA 2K27 Arcade Edition Brings 180 WNBA Players to Two Modes
You get all 15 WNBA teams and 180 active players. In WNBA Quick Match you pick a team and play 5v5 games against rivals, either on your own or against friends through Game Center.
WNBA Blacktop is the street basketball mode, where you pick one of the 15 teams and play a friend in real time. The mode supports 1v1, 3v3 and 5v5 games, the same formats the NBA version of Blacktop offers with the 30 NBA teams.
Your MyPLAYER Starts as an 80 OVR Rookie in MyCAREER
You begin the rookie season at 80 OVR in MyCAREER, so your MyPLAYER can make an impact on the court right away. The season is built around 12 strategic matchups that lead your team toward the NBA Playoffs. The Neighborhood also gets four new places this year.
- The Center Terminal gives you access to events, quests and seasonal content.
- The Gym lets you train your MyPLAYER for temporary buffs that boost stats such as speed and vertical for a week.
- The Barbershop and Tattoo Studio let you change your player’s hairstyle and tattoos.
The Game Is a 2.9 GB Download That Works With Game Controllers
The download is 2.9 GB, and the game needs iOS 17 or later on your iPhone and iPadOS 17 or later on your iPad. Your Mac needs macOS 13 or later and your Apple TV needs tvOS 18 or later. You can also play with an Xbox, PlayStation DualShock, PlayStation DualSense or MFi controller.
Multiplayer Mode lets you take your MyPLAYER online against other NBA 2K27 players on Apple Arcade. NBA Eras returns after debuting in NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition, and it lets you guide dynasties from the ’90s Chicago Bulls to today’s Golden State Warriors. The Association also returns, so you can act as the GM and head coach of an NBA team.
The game joins Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition, which launched on August 6, and Football Manager 27 Touch follows on November 10. Apple Arcade costs $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year in the United States, and you can share the subscription with up to five family members.
