New 3D renders of future MacBook Air reveal a flat edge-to-edge design, seven color options and more

Leaker Jon Prosser is back with more information on the alleged new MacBook Air. In his recent YouTube video, Prosser has shared 3D renders of an upcoming MacBook model, presumably MacBook Air because of 2 ports on the machine. As per the images, the next-generation MacBook Air will be available in seven new colors with a flat edge-to-edge design like the current iPad Pro and other new features. Most interesting the alleged MacBook Air is thin, a lot thinner than the current model.

MacBook Air

Apple launched M1 MacBook Air in November 2020. Although the design of the laptop was the same as the older model, the tech is much advanced owing to Apple Silicon. Recently, Apple introduced M1 Apple Silicon in more devices, iPad Pro models, and much thinner and colorful iMac. The company explained that it was able to redesign the iMac because of the M1 system on a chip to make the computer thin and compact. In addition, the new iMac comes in seven new colors with bolder backs and subtle fronts. And following that theme, Apple is reportedly redesigning the upcoming MacBook Air.

In his previous video, Prosser only shared that the new Air model will come in iMac color options. Building on that information, the new video on Prossers YouTube channel @FrontPageTech shows the laptop in detail with a completely new design language, keyboard, color theme, and more. Here is a summary of the alleged new changes coming to MacBook Air.

Design

Unlike the current wedged design, the new MacBook Air will have a flat edge-to-edge design like the current iPad Pro and iMac models. As per Prosser, the new model is a lot thinner than the current model.

The display will have white bezels. Yes, we would still have bezels and that too in white, personally not looking forward to that.

Keyboard

Following the iMac theme, the keyboard on the next-generation Air model will also be white with a smaller trackpad.

Back

Instead of four rubber dots on the back for grip, the new machine will have two long parallel white stripes.

Colors

The new MacBook Air model will come in seven new color options. All the colors are soft pastels variations of green, blue, pink, purple, grey, orange, and yellow. The new color options are very similar to the stands of the new iMac.

Prosser did not see support for MagSafe charging. Check out his complete video below.
