Apple Changsha – the first Store in the world to utilize the façade technique
The company’s emphasis on design is not limited to its electronic products, Apple Stores around the world embody the same attention to detail to construct sustainable architectural marvels. Situated in the Changsha IFS shopping mall and looking over the Huangxing Road, the Apple Changsha Store is the company’s first store in the world to utilize the new façade technique.
Visitors entering the store from outside will encounter the uniquely designed double-height façade, which features a completely new gradient frit and mirrored coating treatment that blurs the transition from top to bottom and shifts in appearance during different times of day or seasons.
The new store has its dedicated spot for Forum with a freestanding video wall for face-to-face Today at Apple sessions, display tables and avenues, trained retail team members for customers assistance, and will offer the company’s trade-in program, and the newly launched Apple Pickup service.
The store will open doors for customers on Saturday, September 4, at 10 a.m. CST in China with COVID-19 health measures including a mask requirement, temperature checks, and social distancing.
