A completely redesigned and spacious retail store, Apple Sanlitun is open to welcome customers in Beijing, China. Established adjacent to its previous location in Taikoo Li’s open square in Sanlitun, the new retail outlet is the “next iteration” of the company’s first store in China.
The new Apple Sanlitun is twice the size of its former structure which is designed to entertain a bigger number of daily visitors than before. The new store has an aesthetically appealing exterior with 33-feet glass panels which accentuates visibility from inside and outside the store.
The company’s senior Vice President of Retail and People, Deirdre O’Brien said:
“This store sets a new standard for Apple Retail in China and we’re thrilled to build on our history in Beijing. We look forward to operating Apple Sanlitun, and all of our stores around the world, with the health and safety of our customers and teams as our top priority.”
The Cupertino tech giant has built the new Apple Sanlitun with all the modern design features of the flagship stores in New York, California, UAE, and others. The latest design features of Apple Sanlitun include a forum, viewing gallery, and boardroom. As for climate concern, the store is powered by environmentally clean energy.
As the house of ‘Today at Apple’, the Forum is the spot in the store dedicated to Beijing’s renowned creators like musicians and artists to not only exhibit their skills but also teach the audience.
In this dedicated room, a team of experts at the Apple store will guide and advise local entrepreneurs and businesses with their business models and applicable technology.
The Viewing Gallery
To deliver a holistic experience, the store has a viewing gallery on the upper level of the store which overlooks the square brimming with life and energy.
Powered by Solar energy
The new Apple Sanlitun is the company’s first retail store in China to be powered by solar arrays. The iPhone manufacturer is supporting a larger clean energy initiative in China which powers more than 450,000 homes every year.
A team of 185 members will be available to assist customers in buying the products best suited for their needs. As COVID-19 is still an existing threat in China and around the world, the store operates with all safety precautionary protocols like compulsory face masks, social distancing, and temperature checks for visitors and employees.
