Things 3 Adds Siri AI, Spotlight and Better Notification Snoozing

Things 3 has been updated for Apple’s latest OS 27 releases, adding Siri AI integration, Spotlight support, better notification snoozing, and a new extra-tall widget. The update also includes refinements for the new glass effects across the app.

Siri AI is the biggest addition, allowing Things users to create and manage to-dos using more natural requests and continue conversations with Siri. The update also makes Things content searchable through Spotlight and adds more flexible ways to snooze reminders.

Siri AI Comes To Things

Things now works with the new Siri AI, which can understand more natural requests than the previous Siri experience. Instead of relying on specific phrases, users can describe what they need and Siri can extract relevant details to create a to-do in Things.

For example, you can ask Siri to add a reminder for a specific date while including additional information in the same request. Siri can understand the relevant details and send the resulting to-do to Things.

Siri AI is currently available as a beta and is limited to English, certain regions, and supported hardware.

Siri Can Keep The Conversation Going

Things can take part in longer Siri conversations, allowing users to create a to-do and then add information, change its date, move it to a list, or add notes through follow-up requests.

Things is also available through Apple’s dedicated Siri app. After researching a topic in the Siri app, users can ask Siri to send relevant to-dos to Things.

Things Comes To Spotlight

Things now has full Spotlight integration, allowing to-dos and projects to appear directly in device searches alongside other content.

For users with Siri AI, the operating system can also search within Things and use relevant Things data as context for Siri conversations. Spotlight and Siri decide which items appear in results, while Things lets users disable Spotlight integration in its settings.

Better Notification Snoozing

Things makes it faster to snooze time-based reminders. Pressing and holding a notification immediately displays the available snooze options without requiring an additional tap.

The update also adds more snooze intervals, including a new option to snooze a reminder until tomorrow. The same options are now available across supported devices, including Apple Watch.

A New Extra-Tall Widget

Things adds an extra-tall widget across supported devices, giving users more space to view longer to-do lists at a glance.

The update also includes adjustments to Things’ interface and glass effects so the app fits more naturally with Apple’s latest OS 27 design.

Things 3.24 Is Available Now

Things 3.24 is available now following Apple’s release of iOS 27 and its other major OS 27 updates. Spotlight integration requires OS 27, while Siri AI features depend on Apple’s availability, supported hardware, and regional requirements.
