Year of the Rabbit

2022 is the year of the Rabbit in Japan and an exclusive limited-edition AirTag celebrates this with a special rabbit emoji engraving. The first 30,000 customers who purchase a new iPhone SE, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, or iPhone 13 mini will receive the special AirTag as well as a gift card worth 8,000 yen.

Note that the promotion for AirTag is only applicable through Apple’s online store and retail locations in Japan. Apple Store app orders will not be eligible. The reason why orders placed through the Apple Store app will not qualify for the exclusive AirTag remains unclear, so customers should stick to using the online store.

In 2021, Apple ran a similar promotion to celebrate the Year of the Tiger with limited-edition AirTags and Beats Studio Buds.
