Amazon has finally launched its mobile video clips app, GameOn on iOS. Integrated with more than 1000 mobile games, the app allows users to record up to 5 minutes of video clips and share those gaming moments with their family, followers, gaming community, and others via various services. In November 2020, the tech giant released the app on Andriod.
Although the tech giant’s video streaming platform ‘Twitch’ is extremely popular, Amazon has completely disconnected the new GameOn app from the Twitch brand.
GameOn by Amazon is a free video clip maker integrated with over 1,000 mobile games. The app is used to create and edit video on a wide range of top-ranking mobile games, including PUBG Mobile, Brawl Stars, Marvel Contest of Champions, Gardenscapes, Crossy Road, Angry Birds 2, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Property Brothers Home Design, and many other free mobile games popular all over the world. GameOn app by Amazon brings Twitch like video recording experience on iOS
Unlike Twitch hour-long videos, the GameOn app allows players to record exciting gaming experiences and funny moments but also to share them with others by uploading their clips on GameOn or other social media platforms. The release notes read,
- Record gameplay – create short videos 30 seconds to 5 minutes long.
- Share your recordings via social media services or by sending direct links to friends.
- Save your HD videos at any moment during the game.
- Recall Recording feature saves your last 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
- Use selfie camera to personalize your clips with a selfie video at the beginning or end of your recording.
- Edit your clip using this capture app to keep only the important stuff in it.
In addition, the app also offers other exciting features like weekly challenges, get votes and views on uploaded clips, comment on videos, and others. GameOn is available on the App Store for free and it requires iOS 13.0 or later.
