Apple launches country-themed Apple Watch Bands for Rio Olympics 2016

Apple will be launching special-edition Apple Watch bands, exclusively designed for Rio 2016. The band designs will represent national flag colors of just 14 selected countries. They will be produced with the same Nylon material introduced earlier this year, but will have different designs.

The bands will be available in the flag colors of US, Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, France, Holland, South Africa, China, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. However, the catch is that the bands will only be available for purchase at the Apple Store in Village Mall in Barra da Tijuca, Brazil for $49 each. So there are only two ways you can get your hands on these limited-edition bands; either buy them personally when in Brazil for the events or buy them from someone who was there. The national flag-themed bands will be available for purchase at Village Mall Apple Store when the events commence on 5th August 2016.

The launching of exclusive Rio 2016 Apple Watch bands will likely be a success as spectators from around the world will be pouring in Brazil to support their nations and join in the festivities. 10,500 athletes from 206 countries will be competing in 306 events over the course of 17 days.
