New Apple Watch Activity Challenge will celebrate national parks “everywhere” on August 27

On August 27, the new Apple Watch Activity Challenge is designed to celebrate the “beauty of national parks” everywhere.

To promote fitness and social awareness, the Cupertino tech giant introduces Activity Challenges for Apple Watch users for international and national days celebrating environmental, social, health, community, and other holidays and events throughout each year. On completing the set challenges, users earn custom badges and stickers.

This year, the company has released Apple Watch Activity Challenges for International Day of Yoga, Lunar New Year and Unity, Heart Month, and Earth Day.

Apple is an environmentally friendly company that has aimed to become 100% carbon neutral by 2023 across its business and supply chain. For several years in a row, Apple has been donating $10 to the foundation for all purchases via Apple Pay in the Apple Store app to celebrate the birthday of the National Park Service in the United States on August 25.

Extending its commitment to a cleaner environment, this year’s August Apple Watch Activity Challenge is celebrating national parks all over the world.

Apple Watch users will be able to earn exclusive badges and animated stickers for iMessage after completing a one-mile hike, walk, run, or wheelchair workout via the Apple Watch workout app or any third-party app integrated with an iPhone’s Health app on August 27.

Let’s celebrate the beauty of national parks everywhere. On August 27, earn this award by recording a hike, walk, run, or wheelchair workout of a mile (1.6K) or more with any app that adds workouts to Health.
