Apple announced the next-generation M1 iPad Pro models on April 20 at the Spring Loaded event. The new 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are powered by Apple Silicon, support 5G network, equipped with 12MP Wide and 10 MP Ultra Wide camera, up to 2TB storage, and more.
However, the display is the biggest differentiating feature between both models. 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro comes with a Liquid Retina XDR display and 11-inch M1 iPad Pro comes with Liquid Retina display. The Cupertino tech giant is using XDR (Extreme Dynamic Range) branding for mini-LED technology which offers a brighter display with 10,000 LEDs that form 2500 local dimming zones to enable a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
