Apple updated its iPad line-up in April with two new models: 11-inch M1 iPad Pro and 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro. The next-generation iPad models are equipped with advanced technology to offer 5G network support, Apple Silicon high-speed performance, incredible battery life, LiDAR scanner for immersive AR experience, and much more. In addition, the 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro comes with Liquid Retina 4K XDR (mini-LED) display to enhance movie watching, editing, or any other experience better and brighter.

The repair and service costs vary for products under and out of warranty. At the time of purchase, Apple offers a one-year limited warranty (from the date of purchase) for iPad and Apple-branded accessories against manufacturing defects but that does not cover accidental damages. For more comprehensive coverage, the company offers AppleCare+ warranty which includes technical support and hardware repair and replacement. More importantly, it also includes accidental damage protection. However, users are charged a service fee for each incident of accidental damage.

- Online ( verify the iPad’s serial number and run a remote diagnostic)
- At an Apple Store (inspection of iPad and proof of purchase are required)
- By calling 800-275-2273 (requires to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)
AppleCare+ covers two incidents of accidental damage every 12 months for a $49 service fee for each incident.
