Amazon has posted its first cash discounts on the 2026 Mac mini and Mac Studio, cutting up to $49 off select configurations before either machine has even shipped. Both lines officially launch on September 22, and these are pre-order prices, not a post-launch sale.
Mac Studio M5 Max Drops to $2,449.99
The lone Mac Studio deal right now is the M5 Max configuration with 36GB of unified memory and 512GB of storage, down $49 to $2,449.99. That model pairs an 18-core CPU with a 32-core GPU and 10Gb Ethernet built in, aimed at the kind of AI and creative workloads Apple has been pushing the M5 generation toward.
You can also buy for 2% discount on the same configuration with AppleCare+ for 3 years, which is worth it if you are spending money on such such an expensive machine.

Our Take
These aren’t deep cuts, but a pre-order discount on hardware this new is unusual for Amazon, which normally waits weeks or months before touching Apple’s launch pricing. The Mac mini M6 at $879.99 is the one worth watching if you’ve been holding off on a small desktop upgrade, since it undercuts Apple’s own $899 starting price before the machine has even shipped.
