Meta has rolled out Meta One, a paid subscription layer that sits on top of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI. The plans bundle more than 50 features at launch, ranging from extra AI image and video generation to verified badges and dedicated business support.
Meta laid out the full breakdown of plans and pricing on its Meta One plans page. The company says its core apps and Meta AI will remain free, with subscriptions unlocking features on top rather than replacing anything currently available at no cost.
Meta One Has Already Crossed 15 Million Sign-Ups
Meta says more than 15 million sign-ups for subscriptions and trials came in during earlier testing phases, before the wider rollout announced this week. The company also confirmed plans to extend Meta One to Edits and its AI glasses lineup in future updates.
Meta One Splits Into Three Separate Categories
Meta One is a structure made up of three groups: single app plans, personal AI bundles, and creator or business tiers.
Single app plans let someone pay for one app at a time. Bundles combine all three apps with added Meta AI usage. Creator and business tiers go further, adding account management tools and access to Meta Business Agent.
| Plan | Price | Built For |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Plus | $3.99/month | Individual Facebook users |
| Instagram Plus | $3.99/month | Individual Instagram users |
| WhatsApp Plus | $2.99/month | Individual WhatsApp users |
| Core | $7.99/month | Personal AI usage across all three apps |
| Premium | $19.99/month | Heavier personal AI usage |
| Essential | $14.99/month | Small creators and businesses |
| Advanced | $49.99/month | Growing creators and businesses |
| Expert | $149/month | Larger business operations |
| Max | $499/month | Businesses and creators at scale |
Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus Add Small Personal Touches
The single app plans focus on personalization rather than AI power. Instagram Plus adds custom fonts for DMs and Stories, Story viewer notifications, and DM previews.
Facebook Plus brings Messenger customization, Reels insights, and super reactions extended across Reels and Feed. WhatsApp Plus is testing chat and media backup storage along with Focus Schedules, a feature that mutes chats for a set period.
Core and Premium Push AI Generation Limits Higher
Core and Premium are built around Meta AI’s image and video tools. Both plans expand the monthly allowance for generating and editing images and video, with Meta’s Muse models powering the video generation.
Meta has not published an exact number of generations included per tier. Restyle on Instagram, an AI feature that reworks photos and videos into different styles, was one of the most used tools among early subscribers during testing.
Business and Creator Tiers Add Verification and Meta Business Agent Access
The Essential plan starts things off at $14.99 a month with verification and impersonation monitoring. Advanced, at $49.99 a month, adds the ability to schedule Stories up to 30 days in advance, place links in organic posts and Reels, and pull exportable analytics with deeper audience insights.
Advanced also lets a business give team members account access without handing over passwords, along with higher limits on linked devices, WhatsApp broadcast credits, and responses from Meta Business Agent.
Premium support on Advanced and above includes five chats with a human agent per month, and a callback request on Facebook or Instagram counts toward that same monthly limit.
Expert and Max Are Built for Businesses Operating at Scale
Expert, at $149 a month, and Max, at $499 a month, sit at the top of the lineup. Both raise the ceiling on Meta Business Agent capacity, letting larger teams handle more automated customer conversations on Messenger.
Max carries everything included in Expert, plus two features Meta has not offered before at any tier. Subscribers get unlimited requests for human support, and the option to request an actual phone call with a Meta employee rather than a chat-based agent.
- Shared access for up to 30 people on a single Instagram account, so team members can post and reply to comments without the account password
- Original content credit, with notifications when others reuse Facebook content and the ability to act on it up to four times a month
- On Instagram, a request for a label crediting the original Reel, also capped at four times a month
Our Take
I think the interesting part of Meta One is the Max plan’s human support angle, instead of the AI bundles. Instagram creators have complained for years about not being able to reach an actual person when something goes wrong with their account, and Meta building that into a paid tier is an admission that its automated support has not been enough.
The pricing spread is also wide enough to fit almost any budget, from a $2.99 WhatsApp Plus subscription to a $499 Max plan built for agencies. Whether casual users see enough value in Core or Premium to pay monthly for AI generation limits is the bigger open question, especially since Meta AI itself stays free.
