Tweetbot Update For Yosemite and for iPad Coming Soon, Announce Tapbots

Tweetbot is the best Twitter app for iOS and Mac platforms. Infact, the best Twitter app when compared to even competing apps on other platforms. However, Tapbots, the makers of Tweetbot have been slow to update the Mac and iPad versions. Good news is, that is about to change.

Tapbots have revamped their website with a brand new look and a new focus for the company. They are cutting down on the number of apps they support. The victims of this downsizing are Convertbot, Pastebot and Weighbot. These apps are taken off from the App Store, except Weightbot, which has gone free. Tapbots have decided to keep it on the store as it was their first app as a company.

With their new focus, Tapbots is aiming to deliver updates for Tweetbot and Calcbot before WWDC 2015, which starts on June 8. Tweetbot for Yosemite was already teased by them, earlier this month, on Twitter. The new design looks amazing and will be available as a free update for current Tweetbot for Mac users.

Tweetbot for iPad, which is still stuck in the iOS 6 design era, is also due for a design revamp. Tweeetbot 3.0 for iPhone will also be receiving a landscape mode and more features. For Calcbot, Tapbots plan to add a notification center widget for the iOS and Mac version of the app.

Tweetbot is one of my favorite apps so I can’t wait for the updates to the Mac and iPad versions.
