Blood Pressure Monitor Available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch!

A company named Withings has just released a Blood Pressure Monitor to be used with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The company claims it’s as easy as plugging in the device, and getting a reading.

The application features either a single measure mode or 3 measurements in a row, taking the mean average as the blood pressure. When the measurements are completed, you can get your Systole, Diastole and BPM, all saved to your device. You can view all your stats in a single screen, using a graph view to chart your progress over time. You will also have an account to upload your data to your computer for safe keeping. The app will also keep your morning and evening readings separate to keep your records more accurate. The app has a feature included to send an email to your doctor to view your results and a summary of daily results so he or she can keep track of your records. Also, if you use Google Health or Microsoft HealthVault, you can sync your data with those to keep all your medical data in one place.

If you need to take your blood pressure, daily, or even twice a day, this is a must for you. As an athlete myself, and with all the people I know with high blood pressure, this could come in very handy and allowing you to take your blood pressure anywhere and at any time.
