As announced on WWDC 2020, Apple began introducing a new Mac lineup powered by custom-built Apple Silicon in November 2020. The company inaugurated its transition from Intel processors to M1 Apple Silicon with the launch of 13-inch M1 MacBook Air, 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro, and M1 Mac mini in 2020. Recently, the company unveiled the 24-inch M1 iMac in April 2021.
