Apple Fitness+ launches new sound meditations, golf workouts and more in 2024

As the new year unfolds, Apple Fitness+ is gearing up to empower users on their fitness journey with several exciting updates. These include a new sound meditation theme, a workout program for golfers, an Artist Spotlight series, Time to Walk episodes with celebrity guests, and more.

Apple Fitness+ and Anytime Fitness team up for permanent gym access

One of the key additions to Apple Fitness+ is the introduction of sound meditations. Users can now choose from ten meditation themes that incorporate soothing tones and rhythms to promote relaxation. Apple emphasizes that these sound meditations, available in varying durations of five, 10, and 20 minutes, will be regularly updated, offering users a consistent source of tranquility.

Acknowledging the unique fitness needs of golfers, Apple Fitness+ is introducing a specialized workout program. Developed in collaboration with professional golfer Rose Zhang and Fitness+ trainer Kyle Ardill, this program aims to enhance strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility – essential elements for improving one’s golf swing.

Apple Fitness+ is set to spotlight renowned artists in its upcoming workouts. The series kicks off with music by Rihanna, the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner from the previous year. Subsequent weeks will feature workouts with music by Britney Spears, U2, culminating in an Artist Spotlight on USHER, the headliner of Apple Music’s Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show.

Expanding its award-winning Time to Walk audio experience, Apple Fitness+ is set to release new episodes with celebrity guests. Notable figures such as Trixie Mattel, Lilly Singh, Common, and Colman Domingo will share their stories and music, providing users with a dynamic and engaging walking experience. Select Time to Walk episodes will also be available on Apple Podcasts for free.

For Apple Watch users, a new challenge awaits in the form of the “Ring in the New Year” medal. By closing all three Activity Rings for seven consecutive days in January, users can earn this limited-edition award, encouraging a healthy start to the year.
