Apple has announced 15 new hardware products in 2026 so far, spread across four announcements in January, March, August, and September. The list runs from a $29 AirTag to a $1,999 foldable iPhone.
The September launches are still rolling out, since iPhone Duo pre-orders open October 16. Every price below is what Apple charged at announcement. Apple raised prices on more than 14 products in June, so a few of them have changed since.
Apple Opened 2026 with a Second-Generation AirTag
Apple announced the second-generation AirTag in late January, which made it the first hardware release of the year. The new U2 Ultra Wideband chip extends Precision Finding range by up to 50 percent, and the speaker is up to 50 percent louder than before.
The design, IP67 rating, and replaceable CR2032 battery carry over. Pricing is unchanged at $29 for one AirTag and $99 for a four-pack. Precision Finding also works from Apple Watch for the first time, on Apple Watch Series 9 or later and Apple Watch Ultra 2 or newer.
March Delivered Seven Products in a Single Week
Apple announced seven products in the first week of March. Pre-orders opened March 4 and availability started March 11. The March announcements roundup has the full week in one place.
- iPhone 17e starts at $599 with the A19 chip, 256GB of storage, and MagSafe.
- MacBook Neo is a 13-inch laptop with the A18 Pro chip and starts at $599.
- MacBook Air with M5 starts at $1,099 for the 13-inch model and $1,299 for the 15-inch, with 512GB of base storage and Wi-Fi 7.
- MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max comes in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, with prices running from $2,199 for the 14-inch M5 Pro to $3,899 for the 16-inch M5 Max. Apple also introduced the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, with an 18-core CPU and up to a 40-core GPU.
- iPad Air with M4 has 12GB of memory and starts at $599 for the 11-inch and $799 for the 13-inch.
- Studio Display starts at $1,599 with a 27-inch 5K panel and a 12MP Center Stage camera.
- Studio Display XDR starts at $3,299 with mini-LED backlighting, 2,304 local dimming zones, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The June increases changed some of these prices. The MacBook Neo now starts at $699, and the MacBook Air moved from $1,099 to $1,299.
The MacBook Neo sold well enough by April to create an A18 Pro chip shortage. Apple also began offering MacBook Neo and iPhone 17e repair parts through its Self Service Repair program.
The M6 Mac mini and M5 Ultra Mac Studio Arrived Earlier than Usual
Apple introduced the M6 and M5 Ultra on August 25, ahead of its usual fall Mac schedule. The M6 is Apple’s first 2 nanometer chip, and the M5 Ultra is its largest chip to date. Both machines opened for pre-order that day and launched on September 22.
The M6 Mac mini has a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, and it starts at $899 with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. An M5 Pro version starts at $1,699. Both versions went back to soldered storage.
The Mac Studio starts at $2,499 with the M5 Max and $5,499 with the M5 Ultra. The M5 Ultra supports up to 512GB of unified memory, although those configurations do not ship until late October. Reviews of the M5 Ultra Mac Studio are already out.
Apple’s press release first described the new Mac Studio SSD as PCIe Gen 6, then edited it to say PCIe 5.0.
The September 9 Event Added Six Products, Led by iPhone Duo
Apple’s September 9 event added six products. Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup opened September 12, and both Apple Watch models and AirPods 5 went on sale September 18.
iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone. It has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display, runs the A20 Pro chip, and starts at $1,999 for 256GB. Pre-orders open October 16, and it reaches shelves October 23.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max add a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture that moves between f/1.48 and f/4, plus the A20 Pro chip on a 2 nanometer process. They start at $1,199 and $1,299, and both come in black, silver, glacier, and burgundy. They were in stores on September 18, and the US iPhone 18 Pro Max differs from the version sold elsewhere.
Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399 in 42mm and 46mm sizes. The aluminum model costs $399, titanium starts at $699, and ceramic starts at $899. Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 and is rated for up to 50 hours of everyday battery life. Both watches use the new Health Sensing System for heart rate, and Apple Watch Ultra 4 drops GLONASS from its GPS support.
AirPods 5 start at $129, or $149 with the Wireless Charging Case. Apple says they cut up to 50 percent more external noise than AirPods 4 with ANC, and they add Siri AI and Live Translation. The Wireless Charging Case model is rated for up to 5 hours per charge with ANC on and 22 hours with the case.
Apple raised prices on older iPhones after the event. The iPhone 17e now starts at $699, up from $599, and the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 16 each went up by $100.
Apple Has Not Announced an October Event Yet
Reports point to seven more products before the end of 2026. The seven are an OLED iPad mini, an M6 iMac, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M6 chip, an OLED MacBook Pro, a new Apple TV, a new HomePod mini, and a smart home hub. The Apple TV and HomePod mini report covers the two together.
Apple has not confirmed any of them, and the OLED MacBook Pro could slip into early 2027. The next confirmed date is iPhone Duo, with pre-orders opening at 5 a.m. PT on October 16 and shelves following on October 23.
